Description

275 gallon anti-static IBC tote designed for liquids where static discharge is a hazard. The bottle is made from static-dissipative polyethylene, and both the bottle and the hot-dipped galvanized steel cage are grounded, giving built-up charge a path to earth during filling and draining. Facilities handling flammable or combustible liquids, solvents, inks, and coatings use this tote where a standard IBC is not appropriate.

Discharge runs through a grounded 2″ butterfly-style valve with Camlock quick disconnect and a dust cap. The valve dissipates static generated by flow through its throat and is sized for low flow restriction and thorough drainage. Bright yellow corner protectors mark it as a non-standard IBC so it doesn’t get mixed in with regular totes.

Who Uses Anti-Static Totes

Paint and coatings manufacturers, fuel additive and solvent blenders, printing ink suppliers, and specialty chemical plants. The bottle also complies with FDA regulations for food and drugs, so pharmaceutical and flavor producers working with alcohol-based or flammable ingredients can use it.

How It Compares

For water, food ingredients, and non-flammable chemicals, a standard 275 gallon new IBC tote with Camlock valve does the job at a lower price. View other configurations in IBC totes.

FAQ

What makes an IBC tote anti-static?

A static-dissipative bottle, a grounded cage, and a grounded valve that together bleed off charge created as liquid moves.

Why does it have a Viton gasket?

Viton resists many solvents and fuels that can swell or degrade standard EPDM rubber.

Why are the corner protectors yellow?

They flag the tote as a non-standard, static-dissipative IBC so it is easy to identify on the floor.
