55 Gallon Blue Tight Head Plastic Drum w/PCR, UN Rated, 2″ NPS & 2″ Buttress Fittings

Meet the 55 gallon PCR plastic drum, a blue tight head model where PCR is short for post-consumer resin. Up to 60% of this UN rated drum comes from recycled material, yet it is still a food-grade HDPE workhorse with 2″ NPS and 2″ buttress fittings.

Why Buyers Love the 55 Gallon PCR Plastic Drum

Using post-consumer resin diverts materials from landfills and requires less energy to produce. This 55 gallon PCR plastic drum is greener without giving up performance. Its HDPE body is tough yet lightweight, and the seamless closed head construction makes it suitable for outdoor use. Drain vents are molded into the top, and the drum is optimally drainable, so very little goes to waste.

Where It Shines

Buyers use it as a rain barrel, a floating barrel buoy, or a storage container for chemicals, oils and more. It carries a UN1H1/Y1.6/100 rating for liquids and is FDA compliant. Keep fill temperatures at or below 150°F (65°C). Handle it with a parrot’s beak assembly, side grabber or sling.
