How do I match a cap to a glass bottle?

Match the neck finish printed in the product title. In a code like 38-400, the first number is the opening diameter in millimeters and the second is the thread style. A cap must match both numbers to seal, so a 28-400 bottle needs a 28-400 cap. Beer bottles use crown finishes such as 26-611 instead.

Bottles and Jars by Use

Amber, Clear, Cobalt or Green?

Amber glass filters UV light, which protects light-sensitive products such as beer, essential oils and supplements. Cobalt blue gives some protection with a premium look. Clear glass shows off the product and suits spirits, syrups and foods that are stored away from sunlight. Green is traditional for wine.

Glass Bottle FAQs

How are case-pack bottles sold?

Items marked with a case count, such as 12/cs, 24/cs or 120/cs, are packed in that quantity. Check each product page for the pack size and price before ordering.

Do the bottles come with caps or corks?

Check the product title and description for each bottle. Cork-finish wine bottles need corks, crown-finish beer bottles need crown caps, and screw-thread bottles need a cap with the same neck finish, available in our caps and closures range.

What does 38-405 mean on a growler?

It is the neck finish: a 38 mm opening with a 405 thread style. Use a 38-405 cap to get a proper seal.

Why choose amber glass?

Amber glass blocks much of the UV light that can spoil beer and degrade oils, tinctures and supplements, so it is the standard choice for light-sensitive products.
