Description
55 gallon blue tight head plastic drum, the sealed, closed-top drum most US buyers picture when they order a “poly drum” for liquids. It is blow molded in one seamless piece from high molecular weight polyethylene (HMWPE) with thick walls, and it complies with FDA regulations for food and drugs. Food processors, chemical distributors, water storage buyers, and manufacturers use it to store and ship liquids that should stay closed until they are dispensed.
Two 2″ openings sit in the top: a 2″ NPS bung with an NPT plug that has a 3/4″ center reducer for a faucet, and a 2″ buttress bung with its own plug. Both seal with EPDM gaskets, and drain vents are molded into the top for thorough emptying.
